What you will learn in a glance?
In the first year, students will acquire essential skills needed for IT professionals. They’ll also get a basic understanding of how computer systems work, covering topics like Computer Architecture, operating systems, networking, and databases. These modules will not only help them build personal and organizational skills but also encourage their creativity and innovation.
Moving into the second year, students will expand their skill set. They’ll delve into frameworks and planning techniques for managing information systems strategically. They’ll also learn about programming languages, techniques, and advanced analysis and design skills. Alongside this, we’ll continue to foster their creativity, innovation, and self-directed learning to prepare them for the job market.
In the third year, students will build upon their earlier studies and industrial experience. They’ll deepen their knowledge of various information technologies and refine their personal and professional growth. This includes honing their programming abilities and exploring advanced areas like cloud computing and big data. A crucial part of this year is the final project, where students will tackle a real-world issue. This project will demonstrate their capacity to blend technical expertise, critical thinking, and analytical skills, resulting in a portfolio of their personal achievements.
Dual Degrees from APU and DMU United Kindom
Students who joined Bachelor (Hons) in Information Technology at APU University Malaysia will have the option to apply for the APU-DMU Dual Degree Scheme. Under this Scheme, students will be able to get 2 Degree Certificates & Transcripts upon graduation: 1 from Asia Pacific University (APU), Malaysia, and 1 from De Montfort University (DMU), UK. please note this is optional and costs GBP 375 Per year. Entry Requirements
SPTM
• 2 Passes in STPM with minimum Grade C (GP 2.0) in any subject with a Credit in Mathematics at SPM.
